The family moved to Atlantic while he was in grade school. George Heller, 86, passed away suddenly Monday, February 20, 2017 at his home. M., Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church, Marengo, Iowa, with Pastor Anni Mingin officiating.Burial will be in the Koszta Cemetery, Koszta, Iowa. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Vava (Solbrig) Heller; brother, Frank Heller; daughters, Jaleen (Heller) Denison and Keena (Heller) Brown and her husband, Randy Brown, and son, Dion Heller and his wife, Michele Heller; grandchildren, Kendra (Brown)Lazear and her husband, Blake Lazear, and great granddaughter Jayden Lazear, Athea (Eberhardt) King and her husband, David King, Karissa Brown, Emma (Walker) Daniels and her husband, Jacob Daniels, and Aubrey Brown.
Marv was an active member of the Marengo community.
He served on the Marengo Hospital Board and was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Marengo Masonic Lodge and El Kahir Shrine, and a proud member of the Marengo Legion Post 76.
Shirley Marshall Felgar was born December 12, 1931, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Helen Van Ausdall Felgar. She graduated from Hamilton High School, Hamilton, Illinois, in 1949 and later from Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri.
Shirley was united in marriage to Donald De Monbrun on August 11, 1951, in Elviston, Illiinois. Memorials may be contributed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
Eric Mathew Mc Donald was born May 14, 1967, in Marengo, the son of Fredrick and Mary Bayzn Mc Donald. Eric and his cousin Lee Hilligas were the first wrestlers from BGM to qualify and place at the state wrestling tournament.
