Ex-Financial Times executive Michael Murphy was brought into Friends Reunited as the new chief executive in 2005 and the similar web site School Friends Australia & Findakiwi New Zealand was rebranded and merged with the UK site.
It doesn’t hurt to be careful though – if you get a feeling something is not quite right with some profiles or if you suddenly start getting a lot of emails (which you cannot reply to before you have subscribed to the paid version of the site), take it with a pinch of salt.
